For the Skyy Update of July we surpassed $19K for the very first time! The big drop in June has turned around 100% and the Dow Jones has hit record highs in the month of July. Money has been short as of late so purchases have been very low and maybe so moving forward, but as long as the Market keeps going up the Account will also.

Since I turned off the reinvestment plans for Chimera and Frontline I will have fresh Money going into the account to pick up any companies that will be down in the near future. Still debating if I want to do the same for Kinder Morgan, but I want to try to average down on that one first and possibly get over the 100 share mark before I actually do. Well the countdown continues and we only currently have 5 months left of 2016, lets see what the rest of the year brings us along with this Election with good old Hilary & Trump gunning for 1st place.

Work Hard or Work Smart?

  1. I tried turning off the dividend reinvestment option a few years back but then I just found myself not reinvesting the same amount of dollars. The income thrown off isn’t large enough for me to worry about it yet

  2. AB,
Thanks for your opinion and I have been going back and forth with this for the past few months. Right now I turned two off and that’s FRO and CIM, I just want to see how those treat me and go from there when the account grows a little bit more (5K-10K More)

Lets hope in the future we both grow our dividend incomes to where it becomes enough for us. haha
