Dividend Income Update – November 2016

Another month has passed by, and it’s time for me to post the dividends that Skyy earned in the month of November. It’s hard to argue the success of long-term dividend growth investing when you can slowly and surely see dividend income rise over time and get closer to covering your family expenses.

I hope these monthly dividend income reports provide inspiration for any investors out there that are just starting out. It shows that it’s possible to one day pay for monthly expenses with dividends, which would provide an investor opportunities and freedom to pursue other interests than full-time work.

November 2016 Dividends Received

  • AT&T (T) – $10.30
  • Apple (AAPL) – $5.87
  • Petmed (PETS) – $2.02
  • Caterpillar (CAT) – $1.59
  • Kinder Morgan (KMI) – $8.97
  • Realty Income (O) – $6.37
  • Procter & Gamble (PG) – $7.04
  • Health Care Partners (HCP) – $11.70
  • Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) – $4.17
  • Cornerstone Fund (CLM) – $15.58
  • Aberdeen Income Fund (FAX) – $6.46

Total dividends received during the month of November: $80.07

December is here at Last and what a Wild ride it has been with all-time highs, Brexit, and Donald Trump as the new president of the United States of America! As you can see above November was a pretty strong month, but I am still working on the average for each month to produce over $100 a month of dividends.

Its funny, because the last update I talked about 2 new purchases I made, but for this update I have already sold NXTD & FNMA for a profit. I been thinking about making a post about all the companies I have sold in the year 2016, I might do it by the end of this year to show where money has been made and lost.

Hopefully in the near future I can start adding some more money to the account and add to my positions that are in Feb., May, Aug., and  Nov. so the Cash can really start piling up in those months. As always we are truly thankful that Skyy was able to earn $80 this month without lifting a finger and continuing to be a great daughter. She did nothing to earn this money except for make great decisions with past capital! Decisions like investing in high quality companies that reward her as a loyal shareholder with a piece of the profit.

    1. IH,
Thanks! Yes Dec. is a busy month but if you take a look at my portfolio even though we will have a lot of checks coming in a number of those companies only have 2 or 3 shares each. So Dec will be around $65 or $75, in the future I will have to work at building them up over the long haul.

      Regards,
      DM

  1. Are you feeling anxious about the NXTD shares? they appear to be taking a pounding over the past month or so on price. Most are saying sell or hold.

    1. No not at all. I recently sold for a profit. They usually do this in between ER’s. By the beginning of Feb. they should go up past $4. Not sure if you knew but they acquired Logic Mark over the summer and last year they have revenue of 12 Million and profit of 3 Million.

      Just hold Tight. haha
