About Me

Hi, I’m Jay and I run a blog named Dividend Miracle. I’m in my late 20’s, happily married. We have a beautiful 5 year old daughter named Skyy that keeps my wife and I busy 24/7. We currently live in Washington DC, but will be moving shortly to the U.A.E for my wife’s job. (Will move back to America in 2017!)

I started the blog because I want my family to eventually be financially independent and I want others to be aware that there are ways to build wealth other than working your 9-5 job, and depending solely on one or two incomes.

I also realized that saving money and keeping it in a checking/savings account wasn’t going to get me very far, as inflation would slowly eat away at my purchasing power. Insert investing. I believe compounding interest will be a great benefit to our family, and I intend to make it a big part of our life so we can have more freedom.

In the end I want to inspire others, and make dreams come true. There is nothing wrong with working a job and receiving one pay check. (The wife and I will probably do so for the next 10-15 years), but why rely on just 1 or 2 when you can have 10+ checks coming in a month for doing absolutely nothing?! I just don’t want my future in the hands of others and I don’t want to be trading my valuable and dwindling time to someone else.

In the end the money will be for Skyy and hopefully future generations, as long as I don’t liquidate the account. (Life Happens)

Knowledge is power. Read books, blogs, and other investment information you can get your hands on. Ask questions!

Hopefully, we can all share our aspirations as we inspire each other to greatness!

  1. Hi Jay,

Nice summary, I like your story. My wife and I are recently married, also in our late 20’s. Welcome to this little corner of the blogging world! It’s a great community and fun to be a part of something where everyone is striving for the same thing but in all different stages of their lives.

Good luck to you in the future!

  2. Hey ADD,

Thanks for stopping by! Yes its been great and hopefully I can keep going strong for years to come. I will check out your blog and follow along as I am still learning and will continue too.

Here’s to a great 2016 or at least better from last year, only time will tell as the first part of this year has been not so great! (lower prices mean more shares acquired only if the company is stable? haha)

    Best of luck,

  3. Love the reason for building the wealth, I look at it the same way even though I’m single. Being able to give to future versions of you, as long as they appreciate it, is very rewarding and changes your family tree hopefully forever.
